OSLO, Norway, — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley chaired a meeting on Global Security in Oslo, Norway on September 17th, bringing together military leaders from 14 partner and ally nations. This meeting, which convenes three times a year, virtually or in-person, serves to foster collaboration and a shared understanding of the evolving strategic landscape.
Discussions focused on critical issues such as Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine, challenges to the global commons in the Indo-Pacific, and strategic implications from ongoing challenges in Africa.
