WASHINGTON, D.C., — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., met with Polish Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Wiesław Kukuła yesterday at the Pentagon. This was their first meeting since Gen. Brown became Chairman last month.
The two leaders discussed continued support for Ukraine against Russia’s ongoing invasion, long-range strategies for deterring Russian aggression, the transformation of Poland’s Armed Forces, and expanding opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
Poland is a leader in NATO defense and deterrence activities in Central Europe. The U.S. and Poland continue to share a strong defense relationship and continue to monitor and protect the borders.
