WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with German Inspector General of the Armed Forces Gen. Carsten Breuer today by video teleconference.
The leaders discussed the security environment in Europe, including ongoing support for Ukraine. Gen. Brown and Gen. Breuer also shared insights on the situation in the Red Sea where the Houthis have continued attacks against commercial and naval vessels transiting the critical trade corridor through the Middle East.
Germany is a key NATO ally and essential partner in maintaining peace and stability around the world.
