WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with United Kingdom Chief of the Defence Staff Adm. Sir Tony Radakin today by video teleconference.
The leaders discussed the security environment in the Middle East, including opportunities to bolster defense and deterrence in the region and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to innocent civilians in Gaza.
Gen. Brown and Adm. Radakin also discussed Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and continued military collaboration between the United Kingdom, United States and European allies and partners to support Ukraine’s defense.
The United States and United Kingdom are strong military partners and share a special relationship rooted in longstanding mutual support and cooperation.
