WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with Chief of the Israeli General Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi today by video teleconference.
The two leaders continued discussions on the current security environment in the Middle East, including Israel’s ongoing operations in Gaza.
Gen. Brown reaffirmed ironclad commitment to Israel’s security while also emphasizing the need to protect innocent civilians and ensure the timely delivery of humanitarian aid at scale through all possible avenues.
The United States and Israel are strong military partners committed to security and stability throughout the Middle East.
