WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with Kuwait Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Bandar Salem Abdullah Al-Muzayan today by phone.
The leaders discussed the current security environment in the Middle East, and Gen. Brown reaffirmed the importance of the U.S.-Kuwait defense partnership, deescalating regional tensions, and promoting peace.
The United States and Kuwait are strategic partners committed to Middle East security and stability.
