WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr. met today with Chief of Defence Force of the Singapore Armed Forces Vice Adm. Aaron Beng at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii.
The leaders discussed opportunities for enhancing cooperation to advance a shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific. Gen. Brown underscored the importance of allies and partners working collaboratively and exercising their rights and freedoms in the South China Sea.
The steadfast bilateral defense partnership between the United States and Singapore is essential to security and stability throughout the region.
