WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
On June 6, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., met with French Chief of Defence Gen. Thierry Burkhard and United Kingdom Chief of the Defence Staff Adm. Sir Tony Radakin in Normandy, France.
The leaders exchanged views on the current security environment and discussed Russia’s unprovoked and illegal invasion of Ukraine, including continued military collaboration alongside allies and partners to support Ukraine’s defense.
The longstanding military alliances between the United States, UK, and France play a critical role in safeguarding peace and security worldwide.
