WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force Field Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa today by phone.
The leaders discussed the current security environment in the Middle East, including efforts to deter conflict in the region, enhance regional stability, and de-escalate tensions.
The U.S. and Bahrain share a strong defense relationship as key partners committed to regional security.
