WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., met Argentine Armed Forces Joint Command Chief Gen. Xavier Isaac yesterday in Santiago as part of the South American Defense Conference 24.
The two military leaders discussed opportunities to deepen the U.S.-Argentina defense relationship. Additionally, Gen. Brown commended Argentina’s reaffirmation to support Ukraine, as well as to defend democracy and human rights in Venezuela and Nicaragua.
The U.S. and Argentina enjoy a strong partnership and share positive military-to-military ties based on shared values and interests.
