WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with United Kingdom’s Vice Chief of the Defence Staff, General Gwyn Jenkins yesterday by phone.
The military leaders discussed the conflict in Sudan and shared assessments of the security environment.
The United Kingdom and the United States share a long history of mutual support and cooperation, which are cornerstones of the strong alliance and special relationship.
