Marine Corps Gen. Joe Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, hosted an Armed Forces Full Honor Arrival ceremony for Estonian Gen. Riho Terras , commander of the Estonian Defense Forces, at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Nov. 13, 2018. During the ceremony, Gen. Dunford presented Gen. Terras with the Legion of Merit for his outstanding leadership, personal initiative and dedicated support to the United States - Estonia military alliance. Gen. Terras efforts resulted in a significant expansion of cooperative operations and training between the Estonian Defense Force and the United States military, leading to improved security and stability in the European Theater.

NATO Defense Chiefs Build 360-Degree Defense on Maturing Framework, Dunford Says

The recent NATO Military Committee Meeting in Warsaw, Poland, was so productive because the alliance chiefs of defense were able to build on the three-year framework put in place, Marine Corps Gen. Joe Dunford said.

Dunford Pleased DOD Enters Fiscal 2019 With Budget

For the first time in a long time, the Defense Department entered the fiscal year with a budget, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said troops should be extremely pleased with the development.
